Leaving the factory in February of 1936, NC3040 was the first production Gullwing, joining the ranks of "Famous Gullwings" when it became the PepsiCola plane in 1938. Having been dismantled in 1952 for refurbishment, it spent most of it's life hanging from the rafters in a barn near Sacramento, California. Garry and Janne brought this amazingly complete project home to their hangar in October, 2011 and hope to have it back in the air within a few years.
