Getting Closer and Closer - Bruce Pauley's (Boomer) RV-7A
Bruce Pauley and his lovely wife Kathy are building a beautiful RV-7A in his garage/hangar and he is very excited that:

"The project is coming along very well. I have over 1800 hours on it and 38 months. Looks like the first quarter of 2010 it might find some air.

The engine build was great and the electrical system was very challenging. Try to get the 6'4" under the dash and you have to get the engine hoist to get me out.

Just finished the electrical minus a few wires and we'll be trying to knock out the smoke oil tank mounting and then on to the plenum and cowl on the forward side.

The paint is done and just needs to be buffed out and then have to balance the elevators and then touchup on the paint. It will have to be touched up because it is still heavy after the paint.

I am moving the plane on Jan 17 Sunday and finally assembly will begin at KGPM on that week. Then the big phone call to Mel Asberry for the final inspection. This is a great project and I am glad I did not wait till I retired to start building."
